Terms of Service
Last Updated: August 16, 2026
Welcome to PDF2EPUB ("we," "our," or "us"). By accessing or using our website and services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use our services.
1. Description of Service
PDF2EPUB provides an artificial intelligence-powered online tool designed to convert document files (such as PDFs) into reflowable formats (such as EPUB). The service is provided on a credit-based model.
2. Merchant of Record and Billing
International card purchases may be sold and processed by Creem.io as Merchant of Record. Mainland China local payments are processed by the provider shown at checkout. The terms of the provider used for your transaction also apply. PDF2EPUB provides product support and reviews refund requests; for details, see our Refund Policy.
3. Accounts and Credits
- Account Registration: You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials.
- Credit System: Credits are deducted as billable AI operations complete. If a task later fails, credits already used by completed operations are not automatically returned; operations that were not run are not charged. Contact support if you believe a credit charge is incorrect.
- Non-Transferable: Credits hold no real-world monetary value, are non-transferable between accounts, and cannot be exchanged for cash.
- Expiration: Base credits from a one-time paid purchase do not expire under the current policy. Subscription credits expire at the end of the applicable billing period. Bonus, referral, redemption-code, and other promotional credits may expire on the date or under the terms shown when granted; batch-level expiration is shown on the Credits page.
4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Conduct
To ensure the stability of our AI infrastructure and fairness for all users, you agree NOT to:
- Abuse the API/System: Engage in high-frequency automated requests, concurrent connection flooding, or any activity that imposes an unreasonable load on our servers or AI processing queues.
- Reverse Engineer: Attempt to decompile, reverse engineer, or scrape our underlying models, website architecture, or code.
- Upload Illegal Content: Upload, process, or distribute documents that contain child exploitation material, malware, or content that violates any applicable laws.
- Rights and Permissions: Do not upload, process, reproduce, distribute, or commercially use documents or outputs unless you have all necessary rights or permissions. You are solely responsible for the legal right to convert, download, and use the files you submit and the resulting output.
Violation of these rules will result in immediate account termination without a refund of any remaining credits.
5. Intellectual Property and User Data
- Your Content: We claim no ownership over the documents you upload or the generated EPUB files. You retain the intellectual property rights you hold in those files. PDF2EPUB does not grant you rights in third-party source content; you are responsible for obtaining any rights required for your intended use.
- Data Processing: We process uploaded files to perform the requested conversion. Uploaded PDFs and intermediate files are automatically deleted 30 days after a task completes or fails. The final EPUB and extracted content remain available until you delete the task or your account. PDF2EPUB does not use your documents to train its own models.
- Our Platform: We retain all rights, title, and interest in the PDF2EPUB website, branding, software, and underlying AI conversion pipelines.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
Our service relies on complex artificial intelligence and OCR (Optical Character Recognition) technologies. While we strive for high-quality outputs, we DO NOT guarantee that the converted documents will be 100% accurate, error-free, or perfectly formatted.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS-IS" AND "AS-AVAILABLE" BASIS. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, PDF2EPUB and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of or inability to use the service.
8. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes via email or a prominent notice on our website. Continued use of the service after such changes constitutes your consent to the updated Terms.
